Php Adding 12th Barcode Digit

Currently, we have php-driven website that has a database of 2000 items.
Each item has 11 or 12 digit barcode numbers.
We need a programmer to help us add the 12th digit to all the 11-digit barcodes. There is an easy formula for adding the 12th digit.
