Easy Api To Icontact.c O M
I need emails input into a list in my account at iContact (or Vertical Response…. either one).
The way I need to do this is, one by one, via my signup survey completing and passing the user’s email in the URL like so: email=user(at)domain.com,
e.g. http://icontact.com/myaccount/upload.php?email=user(at)domain.com
According to a support forum on iContact.com, (prefer) one can :
“make a PUT call to contact/[contact_id]/subscription/[list_id] to add that contact to ‘List A’”
I don’t know how to do that and no one has answered my query in the support forum.
According to a support response from VerticalResponse.com
“There are two ways that you can achieve this, you can use our opt-in forms and then do a double POST, so after your customer answers the survey, the email address can be passed to our form and then submitted. Alternatively, you can use the API to add list members via a SOAP request.”
I don’t know how to do either of these and don’t have time or patience to debug…
So can a contact be added to a icontact or verticalresponse list and an autoresponder by appending a URL?
If so please advise how to do this, the simpler the better, and if absolutely necessary, write a script to handle it.
That is the project!
