Permanent Re-direct

Resolve WordPress site problem of multiple 404 Page Not Found errors, most or all apparently from previous hosting setup. The site has had two changes of hosting services, was previously and sequentially in sub-domains and is now in the root directory. Need a permanent re-direct to solve this.
