Music Website Marketing

I need a qualified website marketer who can bring me qualified visitors and has perfect knowledge of Marketing other websites. This is not SEO Project so don’t go into SEO.

This is a new music website that will be officially launched in January. It is NOT like any other music website out there. This is a contest-based website with unique content provided by the users. http://tinyurl.com/n4g2xt THIS WEBSITE IS NOT ACTIVE YET. SO PLEASE DO NOT ADVERTISE IT IN ANY WAY YET.

We need a few steps taken for this job. First, we need new members signing up. The kind of members we need would be the same kind you see on websites like these – (band mix) http://tinyurl.com/yztrzl6 (our stage) http://tinyurl.com/5ryvgb (guitar war) http://tinyurl.com/yhrwqzv (forming bands) http://tinyurl.com/yhu8zvf As well as Garage Band, MusicForte and so on. They need to be real members. The more real signups you can generate,the better it is.

Any kind of music site with musicians will work. There are MANY more out there where you can get people. We are NOT looking for famous people – we are looking for amature musicians as members. So that’s the first step – getting REAL members to sign up.

As an incentive, we are giving away about $1000 in our first contest to the top 3 winners. That should help you get people signed up.

Beyond getting members to sign up, we need advertising out there to let people know we exist. There are many music forums out there, and that’s where I would start. Music forums, craigslist, directories, articles – whatever it takes to get REAL people to the website. No pay to click listings. Those are lame. I want real music people who are interested. Our main motive is to get as many signups from free methods and not PPC and other things like that. Everything needs to be white-hat. I don’t want to get penalized by the search engines.

So let’s hear your ideas and questions. I would love to have about 5000 members within 8 months. I have a unique website that musicians can have fun on. They can enter contests, sell their music, be part of our own radio station, join the forum, post video tutorials – all kinds of things.

Please tell me what you would have in mind – how many people you think you can get on the site – how long it would take – anything else you want to add. I am open to suggestions.
