Template Creation

October 21st, 2009

Hello everyone,

I need to create a front page template for a town site that will help it get noticed.

I’ve done a mockup to determine general layout in Photoshop and I want you to style it into a sophisticated coastal tourism site that is popular because of icebergs.

I want it cut up and styled with cross browser xhtml and css using background images.

The mockup is included. Right now it looks like a magazine template but I want it to look more like a tourism site.

I am a landscape photographer and I specialize in icebergs there so I have all the images we will need.

I want it to look of the caliber of sites such as these:

- http://www.visitmaine.com/ (the background image use)
- http://www.australia.com/index.aspx (the background image use)
- http://www.forbestraveler.com/ (the header navigation)

The mockup category and link descriptions:
- header navigation subjects:
about
local map
getting here
things to do
town news
contact

- the main box should be an empty container for the gallery script at 630 x 368 pixels.

- the two bottom bigger boxe’s subjects:
a festival
a lighthouse

- right column subjects:
accommodations
ocean tours
museums
winery
weather
dining out
walking paths

- footer tables have all accurate url descriptors.
