Magento Admin Help

I’m looking to add a text box to each product in the Admin section somewhere of Magento… The purpose is we keep a list of what we update our inventory to and on what date. I just need a text box added, that would store information for each product..
Example…
10/10/09 – Received new Shipment, added 500 to Qty
9/25/09 – Received new Shipment, added 1000 to Qty
Each product text box would be hold it’s own information.. I do not want this to show up on the front end..
