Drupal External Vote Button

Need an external voting button to be used on my Drupal/Drigg sites.
The current version at http://drupal.org/project/drigg_external is quite buggy and very hard on the server, see http://drupal.org/node/339371.
So I need those issues fixed (or a new solution if feasible).
And yes I am on a BUDGET!
