Lucene Implementation

October 4th, 2009

I am looking for someone to implement a fulltext search of an existing mysql table using Lucene (http://lucene.apache.org/java/docs/).

The front-end can be a very simple php form — that we can modify here. However, the java in Lucene is daunting and we need help.

Our server is a typical LAMP setup with Apache 2.2.8, PHP 5.2.6, mysql 5.0.41.

The table to be searched is approx. 100Mb of data and I will provide a list of fields to be searched, which have already been set up with fulltext indexes.

Our production sever does NOT have ftp access so it will be necessary to create the code on your server then send it to us for installation. I understand this will require extra time and effort.

Payment will be made through only though scriptlance escrow and released upon a successful test of the installation.

Please let me know if you have any questions as Lucene is new to me and I don’t know what I need to know.
