Social Bookmarking Script
I’m looking to have a script programmed for a website that does the following:
Allows visitors to sign up as members, and has two “modules” that they can “use” once they are members. The chosen bidder on this project will also be used to add a third module in the near future. I’ll just be explaining the first two modules here however.
Before the user can actually “use” the websites functions, he would have to sign up as a member with his email, username and password (some sort of a “captcha” system should be used)
The user signs up as a member with the intentions of getting the following benefits:
Getting a link/links to their blog, website, article, bookmark (anything they want linked to) at social bookmarking websites (like digg.com propeller.com mixx.com and others that I’ll specify in a list later on in this description)
and
VOTES for something they posted on a social networking site (like digg.com or propeller.com where “votes” keep your content at the top of the website)
Each of the above options is set up in its own module. So, for example, after a user has signed up as a member, they would visit the site and click on one of two different options labeled:
Bookmarking Site Link or Votes for Your Content
Each “module” for the user should have it’s own seperate credit system, and the user receives “credits” by exchanging what it is he is looking to have done for him….for example:
The user clicks on the “Bookmarking Site Link” module. He is taken to a page that would have the following information on it:
How many “credits” he has available (upon signing up it should allocate new users with a certain amount of credits for each module. The amount of “credits” allocated to new users upon signing up should be adjustable by me)
Then, the user would see a box where he is allowed to enter what link of his he would like to have bookmarked. However, he can’t enter his link until he has “earned” enough credits to cover the “cost” of posting his own link. The “cost” of a user posting their link should be adjustable by me.
A user “earns” credits in this module by bookmarking other links that have been posted by other users. The amount you “earn” by bookmarking another users link should also be adjustable by me. There should also be a setting that allows me set how many credits a user can earn in any 24 hour period (so they can’t just spam websites). If they earn the amount of credits that I’ve designated in a 24 hour period, they have to wait 24 hours before they can earn any more credits.
Once a user has “earned” enough credits to cover the cost of posting HIS OWN link, the user can then go ahead and post their link on the website. Their link will now appear at the top of the list. Next to each link should be what websites it still has to be bookmarked at. Once a link has been bookmarked at every website available on the list, the link should be removed and added to module 2 (the “votes for Your Content” module…explained below)
The second module “votes for Your Content” works like this:
The user clicks that link, and is taken to a different page that looks just like the first module. It shows how many “credits” they have available to them (remember, credits are NOT shared between modules. Each module has its own seperate “credit” balance) and then a box where they can enter the link to their social bookmarking content that they would like votes for. Below the box where they would enter their link is a list of other links that have been entered. Remember, these links aren’t links that need to be bookmarked, but links that need to be “voted up” by other users.
Again, they can’t enter their link until they have enough “credits” to cover the “cost” of doing so. The cost should be an adjustable amount that I can set in the control panel (or admin panel, whatever you want to call it).
They “earn” credits in this module by “voting up” the content of other users posted links. So, a user clicks one of the posted links and is taken to (for example) Digg.com and the content somebody else posted. They should HAVE TO visit the content page of whatever the user bookmarked, then go ahead and “digg” it (vote it up). They should be an adjustable “time limit” for them to complete this (with a default value of 5 minutes).
Once they have completed the above, and the script somehow “verifys” that it has been completed, the user “earns” a set amount of credits (again, adjustable by me. Also, that link should be removed FROM THAT USERS view (not removed from the list, but just so that user can’t see it anymore. Either that, or have that link moved to a “already voted for” section. But, it should only do that FOR THAT USER as there will be other users that HAVE NOT voted for it yet)
To see a “Working example” of MOST of what I’ve explained here, visit this link: http://1rstlink.com/
REMEMBER, ALL THE TASKS ABOVE THAT A USER MUST COMPLETE IN ORDER TO “EARN” CREDITS MUST SOMEHOW BE VERIFIED AS COMPLETED BY THE SCRIPT
I’m also VERY willing to answer any questions anybody has. Whoever the winning bidder is will be worked with MUCH MORE in the future.
Also, I’m pretty familiar with PHP and mySql database installations, however I’d also like whoever the winning bidder is to be able to help me install the script (with email support, not actually doing it for me) once it is completed.
This script WILL NOT BE SOLD, it is FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY.
