AuthorsTrack is a static website. I would like to bring it to the next level. more dynamic, more like an application.

The heart of the website is events listing. Currently I am updating the website manually, fixing the code via html and such. However I would like my new site to be database driven. I would like to stop updating my website manually and importing my data via an excel spreadsheet.

another big component of this website is the venue page. the venue page are pages that contain detailed information about each venue. there are about 200+ venue pages, all static on my website and all have general type of information. I would like the ability to fix and add more venue page to this area of the website.

the reason for the venue page creation was to help the visitor to find out more about the particular venue hosting the event. it contain data like address, a cool google map for them to use and photo of the venue.

I would like the events information to connect with the venue data information. Any events that are happening at this venue should show up in the core database and the venue itself, linking the two together.

I would also like to have a BRAND new area for Authors too, in the same concept as the venue page. the author would have a stand alone page for themself and would be save forever within the database confinde. It will also be created on the fly via an excel spreadsheet.

I have just taken over a joomla site that has the artio sef component installed. With this component installed I got php errors with it uninstalled it runs fine.

I have uninstalled it but need it reinstalling and to work on my server so the page titles are the links.

The main issue could be the previous owner was running on php4 where I have php5.

I currently taken over a Joomla site which comes with the .SEF SEO plugin/extension. The previous owner was running on php4 whereas I run php5. I’m not sure what the issue is. I am guessing that it is something simple, that I just haven’t done as I’m not a Joomla expert.

However, when I enable the built-in Joomla SEF in Global settings, it gives php errors, with just sef titles on it runs but the links do not work.

I would prefer someone with proven history here with joomla. One more thing I uninstalled the sef component but have not reinstalled it.

My website needs to list information from another website. On the other website there is a couple of php files in a specific directory structure. Each file is listing certain things from a database on that site.

I need an iFrame component for Joomla 1.5 native with the following specs:

In the component backend the Administrator should be able to
- set width&height of the iFrame
- set the base url to the other site (eg. http://mysite.com)
- an ascii-string that is sent to the other site as a part of the url (eg. 123Weret5435)

In the Joomla menu system one should be able to add several menu items pointing to the component and for each such menu item one should be able to set
- the path&filename for the target file (eg. /myfiles/list.php)

The final url using the examples above constructed by the component and shown in the iframe would be
http://mysite.com/123Weret5435/myfiles/list.php

Only the site admin should preferrably have access to the component backend settings, and any menu manager could set the rest. Preferrably the complete path should be hidden from the end-user.
