Option Type Feature – Oscomm

Trying to get hold of ecartz!!!
Im looking at buying an oscommerce site (http://mercyhost.com/oscomm/oscomm19/)
Now as far as I can tell I can add a drop down box from the attributes manager. I need to be able to add a few text boxes as my products are personalized. I need to be able to add things like name and address which will then come through on my order.
I’ve looked around on google and I’ve seen something called “option type feature” which enables the addition of text boxes.
As I am not a coder I do not want to attempt this, its seems you have to change a few lines of code in the right place for it to work.
This is where I read up on it.
