Smarty Cache

Am trying to optimize the script on my site. Pages are loading slowly now, depending on traffic levels. Have not been able to improve things by working at the server level. Need a programmer experienced with Smarty cache. Someone who can rework the smarty set-up so that the static parts of the page are cached using the smarty cache. The majority of the site is static content. Eaccelerator is currently installed. The eaccelerator caches php scripts in memory but not the actual output of the smarty templates. See
