Scraper
Hi. This project will be extracting data from Betfair Timeform Site. What I want to be able to do is select ANY day in the past or in recent times, maybe today or in the near future when I want to have this automatically scraped for me. The scraper will then operate in a similar fashion as the site does, where the user then selects which course and/or just certain times of races on this course. The columns it will extract are “position, horse, BSP” for any course and/or race times selected. This means with a few clicks of a button this data will automatically scrape and the scraped data can be saved into .xls and .csv format for viewing in Excel. The idea is this scraper can also scrape/save these three fields for ANY number of days. An example would be wanting to scrape all of April 2009 for the users selected courses during this time period, which maybe would be just UK races and ignore scraping/saving all other courses. I want to be able to quickly extract this necessary data for single days, weeks, months or even a full year, which I know maybe, could take a while, but hopefully you understand what I am after here.
