I have two websites that share a database and some files. One site is the “master site” and has many images, documents, and video clips saved there. The other site is the “secondary site” and it uses symbolic links to get the files from the “master site”. Both web sites are community membership sites so members can upload, save, and view files from both sites even though the images are always saved to the “master site”.

Something happened and now the files are not being saved on some parts of the “secondary site”.

It might be a permissions setting because I get an error message saying:

Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /actors/pub_pic/14974-1s.jpg on this server.

So something happened to reset or change the permissions. Or something broke the hard or soft links. I need someone to look at the settings and make any necessary changes to fix the symbolic links so you can once again view, upload, and save images to the “master site” through the symbolic links and the “secondary site”.

I like the same format for the client site.

The “simple” interface is using a query string / form post. This returns HTML pages with the data preformatted into a simple generic layout. You can pass thru a CSS stylesheet to change the colours, fonts etc but the basic layout is fixed. I would suggest maybe putting the page in a IFRAME so that you can put your own headers/footers on.

I’ve also created and attached an example ASP.NET project that shows how to use the XML Web Service. This simply creates a reference to the Acquaint Web Service, retrieves all of Place Finders rental properties into a DataSet and then binds that to a Datagrid for display.

As the data is just returned into a Dataset object, you can then read it and display whatever data elements you wish in whatever format you like – I used a Datagrid just to keep it simple, but for your web site it will probably be best to display the data in a HTML table.

I am looking for an experienced Flash developer to help debug a flash music uploader. The uploader is being integrated into a site built on Ruby on Rails, so it will be helpful if you have experience with the RoR framework (and know PHP to help debug). The problem we are having right now is that multiple uploads are not working… when you add two or more tracks to the uploader, they all disappear after the first track finishes uploading. This is most likely a GET/POST issue that needs to be fixed.
