Movie Poster Illustration
I need a movie poster concept created from a photograph for a low-budget independent film. The photo is too poor quality to be used in the poster itself, so I need someone to illustrate something. I’m thinking along the lines of old classic movies. Maybe a style similar to the samples found at http://www.cinemasterpieces.com/ would work, but I’m also open to suggestions.
The illustration should be close to the original photo, but certain liberties can be taken to give it more impact, as well as make it work for the poster format. For example, the poster should be in a portrait orientation, so moving the two people in the image closer together to achieve this would be great.
– The poster should be printable at 18″ x 24″ and 24″ x 36″.
– The poster should include the name of the film “Having My Baby”.
– The poster should include the man, the woman, the woods, and the gun. These concepts must be there, as the man has kidnapped the woman and taken her into the mountains.
– The poster should include some space at the bottom, to allow for the credits, etc. This information will be filled in at a later time.
Watch the trailer and read the synopsis at http://www.havingmybabymovie.com/, so you can get a feel for the film and ideas for the poster. There will be other related creative work needed in the near future, as well.
Please use the PMB for any questions, and indicate if you have experience specifically with movie posters and related creatives. Relevant samples and mockups will receive preference.
Please do not waste my time asking questions that have already been covered here or sending me links to all your web design projects. If you haven’t taken the time to actually read and understand the project, do not bother bidding.
Thank you!
Stephen
