I would like to start a project website, that lists all the websites in the world using a certain Open Source Content Management System. You can tell if the site is using it because the CMS writes a few comments into the sourcecode and it also has a certain filestructure to store the files.

So what I would like to get developed is a crawler that runs on a dedicated server and crawls through a list of all domains currently present in the world (I purchased a list for that)

Of course with 400 million domains to check the crawler has to be optimzied 100% for speed, otherwise it will take much too long to finish. So we should have one simple table the crawler goes through, where a number 1,2,3 is written into a field for each domains, showing which CMS was used on that site. If the domain is not reachable it should not try again but simply write a 10 into the queue so we can recheck those domains again at a later stage.

We already have the interface in PHP for showing the results of the crawler and exporting the database results etc. This interface will only need to be adjusted slightly, so the main work is for the crawler here. Also the logic for how to check for CMSes is already present.

Once we have this list we will start another script that collects information on these pages such as screenshot, URL and some meta content to create a big index out of it, but this part is not part of the proposal.

Here are the details of the project. It may look like a lot but it’s really not, it’s just very detailed in description. Please review carefully and let us know if you are capable of completing this task. Keep in mind we are looking for a long-term relationship as we want to have someone to make modifications to the site in the future. If there is an aspect of the following details you do not understand and do not think you are capable of completing professionally, please tell us before we proceed further.

Version 1:
The sight will be just like fmylife. I would like a light green background instead of light blue.The posts will be in the same format and only 300 characters allowed for posts just like fmylife has. Anyone will be able to post a story (they will not need to be a member to read and comment on stories posted). All the posts must be forced to say a certain word (I will provide the word later on) at the end of them just like fml. I would like the quotes that readers can click on to say certain phrases (I will specify these later also, and just like fml, I just want to use these different titles). The top will have links that say HOME – Become a Member – Submit – Link to “the site”.

I will need a user name password and login area to be put at the right where they have their categories section, and I don’t want a category section.I would like an area under the login area for members to upload and share their pictures. Only members can view and share pics. It must be easy to be a member (simply a username, password, and email address). Anyone should be able to post a story and view them (so they don’t have to be a member to do this). And I need some places for ads.

Version 2:
Exact clone in terms of function and interface of the fmylife webpage, search capabilities, categories, etc. The script is made using the CakePHP framework so basically PHP & MySQL. I need this code to be exceptionally tight and clean – keep SEO in mind along with extremely high traffic – we don’t want something clunking up our servers. The site will be put through stress tests to verify the coding holds up so experts only!

- I want users to be able to moderate the posts just as in fmylife now and I want a simple way to see the new posts as they come in, in addition to being able to see what users have selected as they also moderate (i.e. “yes” or “no”)
- When making posts, users also have the ability to “append a photo” to the post
- A category menu (I will be selecting less than 10 categories to use) where users making a post will be able to select with category they want their post to fall under
- On the comments page for a particular post, the post will obviously be displayed first, then “Comments” and the ability to monitor (ON/OFF) just like in the original FML but right under that is “Add a Comment” and once a user comments it appears directly below where they just typed so the newest comments are at the top of the page and members do not have to scroll to the bottom to add a comment.
- Posts number which will correspond with however many posts there have been before that as in the fml now
- Store & API functions/areas
- A members section just the same as there is now with (login / password / email / allow to follow the different posts) and the member profile where they can add information about their self, photo, birthday, etc… just like the site has now.
- Within the member section I want the user to have the ability to “favorite” particular posts (you could just add a tiny “heart” image that will change red when a member has selected it as his/her favorite and an area in the members section when they login so they can view all their favorites, just like the site has now.
- Users do NOT have to be a member to make posts but they do if they want to comment on a particular post
- Moderate section where the visitor can accept or not a post in order to help the filter
- A form box within the comment section (next to where the user selects the “category” for the post) where a user can begin typing in a name (we will provide you with a list of names) and as they being typing a list of names appears below the form which corresponds to what they are typing. In other words, as they start to type, for example, “pen”… names such as “penny” and others that begin with “pen” appear and they can make their selection from that. I am sure there is a name for this feature I just am not aware of it. Sites such as facebook use it when searching for a user name. And within the post, if the user does select a name, which will not be a requirement, the name will be visible next to the category. So the category and the name will essentially be “tags” for the post if that makes sense. I know it is not as complicated as I may have made it seem I just want to be clear in what we want done.

Right now I need to promote one particular product so the entire design will be focused onto that single product and also it will make anyone designing the website a lot simpler task. We will be showcasing a lot of pictures for that single product. I would prefer flash as the best option for a beautiful design, but if you feel there can be something better out there please let me know.

I need an application with the code (dont know if it is default), which makes a click sensitive pop up,if certain applications are closed ,and click on pop up triggers to run an (.)exe file.
The possible number of applications which clousures triggers the pop up is about 100-200, and possible comes from a feed. (.)Exe file triggered by clicking is only one.

For example if i close the MSN (or any other application on the list), will send me a “warning” like : You are about to stop talking. If i click on the pop up it starts to run Voipstunt(.)exe. If pop up “x”, no action.

Pop up will need some design as well.

Ok what i need is someone to design a make model and year search for my website. I already have a shopping cart and all the information to be put into the database for the search. This should be a simple project. All I need the program to do is logon myspace accounts and keep them logged on in a “online now” status. When I go to Browse and type in the area code / age of the account I should see my profile as “online now” and show up on the front page or close to it depending on how large my search is.

I am not 100% sure of the correct method to do this. Will you need to log them in and out every so often, or have them make an action (keep alive) to keep them from going offline? How many ips will we need to use for “x” amount of accounts, etc… I am not sure of these questions so prefer someone with working knowledge of how myspace works. What ever it takes I just simply want to be able to log on accounts and keep them as “online now” on myspace.

I would really like this created in UNIX. I would prefer someone with experience working with myspace and who can support this program in the future as myspace makes changes.
