Import Names Into A Database

i have to put new companies in one at a time as registration
it is written in php I think. I bought it from classyhost.com
I am wondering any way to import or uplaod 2,000 companies at one time into database, i have 2,000 companies in any format – dont want to put them in one at a time. I also have password to web site for you to get in.
